ARTICLE 9 - FAIR PRACTICES

Section 1. The Council and/or the Union recognize and affirm their commitment to the policy of non-discrimination with regard to race, color, religious creed, national origin, age, religious affiliation (if any), gender, marital status, handicap status or sexual orientation. The parties agree that no employee shall be subjected to sexual harassment.

Section 2. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any unit member rights he/she may have under applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its regulations or other applicable provisions of state or federal law.

Section 3. The Union shall represent all persons in the bargaining unit without regard to race, color, religious creed, national origin, age, religious affiliation (if any), gender, marital status, handicap status, sexual orientation or participation in the activities of the Union.
